Who is the CEO of your household? My guess is... mom. Moms are the ones who organize, delegate and manage just about every aspect of the home. They shop, manages money, clip coupons, chauffer, tutor, delegate housework (and do plenty of their own), nurse, counsel, and maintains an endless work schedule. On top of that, many moms manage to slip in some outside jobs too. These very moms, the ones that maintain a multi-tasking, information and purse-string driven lifestyle, are the ones that big businesses really want to siphen information from. They are dying to know just what all we moms are thinking. We have an opinion, and they want it. The best part is, they are willing to pay.
The reason big businesses want our opinions is because they need to find out what we are willing to purchase, and at what price point. Research companies and survey panels are hired to gather information in order to better determine marketability of their products. The survey panels are the ones who directly contact and reward you for your opinions. Compensation varies. Sometimes it is straight cash, other times it is points for cash, prizes, PayPal payments, Visa gift cards, etc. Sometimes survey companies will offer only sweepstakes entries for your time -- but skipping over registering for these companies is often a mistake. It is sometimes these very same companies that appear to only give sweepstakes entries that occasionally send you an invitation for free products, a great paying survey, or even a focus group (up to $150/hr or more).
Allowing yourself to receive all the invitations for these opportunities increases your chances of getting the best paying surveys. It is very easy to find these companies when you know where to look. You simply have to seek out a a free paid survey company list, sign up, confirm your registrations, and wait for the surveys to come to you. Remember, you register to receive survey invitations, but you are still the one who is in control. If you don't think the survey is worth your time, don't do it. Just wait for one that is.
