I don't know what you might think about taking surveys. For sure the survey business has been around much longer than a lot of us and certainly much longer than the WWW Internet has been around. At least 35 to 40 years longer than the internet. I know this for sure. Why? I remember back in the late 40s and early 50s. My momma used to take surveys for two or three different companies. I cannot recall the names of these companies but I can recall when we were short on cash crops on our middle Tennessee farm, the survey company checks would manage to keep us running til the hogs or cattle were sold.
Since the invent of the internet it is much easier for the big companies to get the marketing information they need than with the live survey taking I was able to witness when I was a 7 or 8 year old kid. The use of the internet to hire, train and get survey work done has to be so much better than when it was done by a live person. It should be much cheaper now than in the 50s also. I remember Mom got like 5 or 6 cents per mile for gasoline and car expenses plus somewhat decent pay to conduct a survey. Of course back then I had no idea what decent pay would have been.
These days a person can make a good bit of extra cash doing paid surveys. However, you need to exercise caution. Avoid all middle men as they will kill your pay. You also must exercise extreme caution and make certain you avoid the scammers, of which the internet has plenty. Also you will need to avoid any methods of payment other than cash. If a company starts talking about paying you with premiums or lotteries etc. Run away from them as quickly as you can.
It is better for you when you are searching for companies to work for, try to line up as many as six or seven companies. Many of them will only give you three or four surveys to do each month until they determine whether or not you are going to do good work. So you need to always be very careful and meticulous for any company you work for. Once you have worked for a company for two or three months and you have determined you like them and they like you, they will start to give you more work. Then and only then can you start to make a decent amount of money, and only if you have several companies you are working for. You should be able to do very well if you do the following. Contain your expectations in the beginning. Make sure you avoid the middle men. Determine for sure that you will be getting paid with cash, not premiums and other junk. Avoid the scammers, you will find a lot of them. Its too late to fix it when you have done a lot of work for a company and never get paid. This happens, Better it be a small amount for just a little work. That is why I say diversify. As you learn the good and so to say â?oGooderâ? companies. You will develop a sense of what you should and should not do. Just make certain you always do a very good job for the ones you work for.
In conclusion paid surveys can be very good if you use diligence in the companies you pick to work for. Just be careful of the sites you pick. Make certain the paid surveys you do are just that....
