Can Paid survey be the solution to the cankerworm of global mass unemployment these days and time of contemporary economic meltdown that continues to eat so deep into the social fabric of the people in every nook and cranny of the world? It goes without saying that since the financial and economic impasse reared their ugly heads a couple of years ago the earning and purchasing power of the working class employees otherwise known as take home pay can hardly last them for a few days of receiving their salaries.
Gone were the days when people run after what they wanted in terms of commodities and services just because there was enough to spend thanks to the economic boom of the 1970s up to late 1980s but today the story is different. One can vividly recall a Nigerian head of state saying then that money was not the problem of the country but how to spend it. The period under reference was when it was playing the big brother role of bank rolling the budgets of several African countries both in this sub-region and those outside it.
That was also the period that the country became the dumping ground for all commodities that could not be absorbed in the industrialized nations - a situation that made every person that were close to the corridor of power to be emergency contractors and smile to the banks always for doing almost noting. It was at that time also that white elephant projects became a sorry sight nearly in all parts of the country. Yes, Nigeria had money but how to spend it was her challenge no wonder the Naira, its national currency, was an unofficial legal tender in many foreign countries because of the very high value in comparison to the United States Dollar and the United Kingdom pound sterling.
The sweet story, however, took a 360 degree turn when the ugly oil glut reared its ugly head and the economic downturn became the order of the day when it was even so difficult for the government to finance its annual budget - a situation that compelled it to vigorous and incessant borrowing from international financial institutions like the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Paris and London Clubs of lenders. Then came in the Structural Adjustment Program otherwise known as SAP which the World Bank gave as a compulsory condition for any country that wants to borrow money from its institutions and today, the rest is history as it is commonly said.
The victims of the economic downturn are not only salary earners but also the small, middle and large scale entrepreneurs that find it difficult to meet their various overhead costs with the budget being in deficit almost year in year out. Since they do not find it easy to cope with the harsh economic condition, they resort to firing their staff in large numbers in order to reduce their running costs.
Thank goodness, today, with the introduction of the Internet, it is possible for people to make money online through a process like the Paid Survey; the issue is to find a good company to work with. That, no doubt, will go a long way to put meals on the table of the unemployed more so that regular jobs are so hard to come by these days. With diligent search on several search engines, there is no missing the point and so paid survey is one of the best solutions to eking out a living and beat the global mass unemployment About the Author
