With the growth of online businesses one calamity which befalls internet users, in particular those who wish to make money online, is paid survey scam. The easiest prey for these scam sites is a newbie. Someone with little or no experience of online business can easily fall prey to such sites.
High claims and testimonials are the first things that attract the people to join such paid survey sites. The sites themselves are not a scam rather there are other sites which hold a list of these companies which offer surveys. These are the actual scam sites. They ask for a small initial subscription fee and once the user has paid that fee he will be provided with a list of companies which offer paid surveys. First off the list is out dated and is of no real use. Further more all the sites listed can be found easily with Google search without paying a single dime and most of them consist of shopping or reward points which one can use at the shopping center of their choice not ones own choice. So all the time and money utilized in getting the list and then browsing through the sites was a total waste.
The list that is provided has approximately 40-50% useless and out dated links. The websites have either been shifted to some other address or have been shut down for good. The remaining 30-40% sites are not paid surveys at all. They are basically just discount offers or advertisements by companies who want users to comment about their products to promote it. In return they give the user some reward points with which he can get a discount on different products or something really small and insignificant for free.
People who claim to have made handsome rewards out of paid surveys are actually paid to make such comments. They are middle men who are paid to promote the site. There may be a few cases of really lucky users, who have managed to make money with such sort of surveys, but they are really rare and the money they made is really insignificant compared to the risk and danger lurking in the shadows of these paid survey sites.
