The web is filled with millions of survey companies offering to compensate you for taking up their paid surveys. But how to differentiate a good paid survey site from the other?.
Good Paid Survey sites act straight forward. They don't make hype about anything and don't promise the world. They make it clear whether is is free to sign up or not. They will promise to send out lot of paid surveys to you as per your qualifications and really they will do. They might also let you know that you will be entered into contests for surveys taken up by you and they will act accordingly.
Other survey companies do the same ones as above but they tweak the way for everything they do. As they know that you will not sign up if they charged you unless they provided something special and hence they offer free sign up. By getting you signed up, they make money in addition through advertisements on their website which they hope to be clicked.
Most survey companies will promise you when you sign up that they will send you several surveys. They will send lots of them out of which many might not work for you as you will not qualify as per their requirements.
You will be required to answer a few questions at the beginning to check if you qualify for these paid surveys. Sometimes, no matter how honestly you reply, you will often get the message finally that you are not qualified to take up the survey. Even if you happen to answer "yes" to the questions initially to check your eligibility, you will still be turned down at most times.
On the other hand, there are few other surveys that will qualify you to take up the paid surveys. But finally they will reward you only points for taking up the survey. They will say that you will be entered into drawings which might not even exist. Most of the times, there is no winner from these drawings and all the while you must have spent your time filling up a survey for nothing.
It is true that there are lot of surveys on the net which are just scams. But there are quite a few good survey sits that pay you for your time and effort. It is your duty to do research and find out which survey company is good and which is not. Talk to people who have taken up surveys to get a better idea.
Never pay to sign up for any paid surveys no matter how attractive it might be. It is surely a scam if they ask you to pay to sign up. Some surveys will reward cash and few others will rewards points or sweekstakes prices or rewards. The cash if paid might be just a few dollars or even cents at times. Decide which mode of payment is right for you.
Few survey companies will reward only points and they will say that you can redeem your points for cash. But they will set a threshold limit to claim your points. If you happen to give up before that limit, all your effort is wasted in return for no money. So beware of all these factors before you take up any paid surveys.
