I am a strong advocate of signing up with a specialized website dedicated to providing its customers with the very best possible leads for finding survey opportunities. Some people are critical of this perspective, noting that there are free directories of online paid surveys available. I would like to take a moment to explain some of the reasons these free options are not the best possible tool to use.
It is true. You can find directories of paid surveys online. You can access those directories for free, too. It sounds like a great idea. We are talking about free lists, here. There is no money in it for the researcher. The odds of finding a truly up-to-date listing of paid surveys is next to zero.
TWO: Competition is high. Here is an interesting fact. If you do a little research to find out what people are searching for with search engines in the realm of paid surveys, you will soon discover that they want free leads. They are Googling for free opportunities, free directories, free surveys and free just-about-everything-else. Thus, the free lists that are out there floating around are being viewed by everyone and their grandmothers. The few opportunities listed are probably completely bombarded with interested parties. That could make it tough to land a good survey gig, don't you think?
THREE: What you do not see can hurt you. The free lists usually have a few readily-discoverable leads. That might be a place to start under some circumstances, but it lacks the depth necessary to make paid surveys a legitimate moneymaker. Specialized websites focused on researching and vetting the best paying survey situations do a far better job of finding the good stuff than do the friendly folks who post free lists online.
Feel free to check out free directories of online paid surveys. You might even get lucky and find a few paying opportunities. Eventually, however, you will realize that spinning your wheels with the same information everyone else has will not allow you to reach your goals. In time, you will outgrow and will lose patience with the freebies.
If you want to make real money from surveys, you will want to make a small investment that pays huge dividends by joining a reputable site to provide you with the leads other cannot and will not give you.
