There seem to be endless websites asking you to sign-up in order to be paid for doing surveys. It sounds like a great idea. You get to sit at home (no commute), in your pajamas (comfier than office clothes), and work whenever it suits you (no alarm clock - woohoo!). These are all wonderful aspects of working at home. Who could argue with that!
Unfortunately, many of these websites expect you to pay for the "privilege" of signing up to do surveys. And then when it comes to paying you? Well, it is never quite what you were hoping for. Many survey sites enter you into contests for completing surveys rather than paying outright which means you could spend a lot of time doing surveys and not have anything to show for it. Some survey sites expect you to sign up for "special offers" in order to get paid.
It just seems that this is not a very reliable way to make money. And let's be honest, there are only so many surveys you are going to qualify for, and no matter how many hours you spend, there is only so much money you are going to make. You will be working too many hours for too little money.
What if you could build your own business and determine your own income. You would even earn residual income (you put in the work once and get paid many times). And what if you could do it in the same amount of time that you would spend on surveys? And wouldn't it be great if you could do this for the same cost or less than you'd spend to sign up to do surveys?
There are many ways to make money by working at home, in your pajamas, with the ability to work whenever you want. In fact there are so many that it can be hard to know where to start. I've been there - I know.
But it is worth the time to find an online opportunity that will work for you. The great thing about building a real online business is that you are in control. If you need more income you may choose to put more time into your business. You are building something for yourself, not someone else. You are building something for the future (remember that residual income - nothing beats getting paid over and over for something you did a long time ago).
If you are unsure of how to set up your own online business I would highly recommend taking a course or ordering an ebook. This allows you to take advantage of the research that someone else has done. There are courses that take you step by step through setting up your own business.
