If you've been searching for ways to make money online, then there's a good chance you've encountered at least one or two sites that promise you earnings in return for completing surveys. The only question is, are they a viable way to make money online?
Let's look at your options.
Ordinary Paid Survey Programs
Paid survey programs like Global Test Market seem like a great way to make money fast. However, most of them require you to complete many surveys, and reach a minimum payout level, before you can withdraw your earnings. Those companies are selling the information they gather to marketing firms, and they are making money off every survey you, and millions of other people take.
The trouble is that most people tend to get tired of taking surveys, and watching their points or earnings rise slowly, so they don't continue, and they never get paid for their time. So unless you find a company that has a low payment minimum, or you have the time to spend taking survey after survey waiting for that magic number, you probably won't get rich taking surveys this way!
Hosting Surveys
On the other hand, people who already own a site or blog can make a fair amount of money by hosting someone else's survey or poll on their website. Companies like Vizu Answers pay people to host third party surveys and polls on their websites, and if you have a high traffic site or blog, and lots of people taking your survey, you can make a lot of money this way.
Paid surveys aren't the best way to make money online, but they can be a nice sideline - either if you're just looking for an easy way to make some cash for yourself, or if you want to monetise your existing site or blog.
The best advice is not to be hasty when signing up for programs - check what you'll be earning, and how much you'll have to do before you see any money. Then sign up for the program that best suits what you need. About the Author
