Don't Fall For The Hype:
Do you know I have been running a number of successful Internet based businesses for over five years now. So what, you might be thinking good for you. Why would I want to know that, it is of no interest to me?
Well the reason I mention this is because I want you to know that it hasn't always been like that. You see a number of years ago I ran some very successful bricks and mortar businesses. One night I went to bed fit and healthy and the next morning I woke up paralysed from the waste down. It turned out that I had been struck down with an incurable illness.
Needing twenty four hour care running my bricks and mortar businesses were no longer a viable option so I turned to the Internet for a solution.
One of the first things I tried was making money from surveys. I had read all the sales pitches about how they were an easy way to make money and how they would help pay the bills and so on and so on.
So I set about researching all the survey sites out there, the free ones and even the paid ones. And eventually I signed up to about twenty of them.
At first things were really, really slow and I think I had about one survey to fill out after waiting about a week and a half. I thought god this isn't going to pay the cats food bill at this rate never mind the household bills.
Then things picked up and for the next couple of weeks I got two or three survey to fill out still not enough to feed the cat for a week let alone me and the wife.
But from there on in things become sporadic to say the least. One a week then nothing for six weeks and then maybe a couple then nothing for weeks on end.
By this time I had moved on and decided to find other ways to make money but I was still curious about how all these people who were supposed to be making money from paid surveys.
So I thought well maybe there making the money from having paid various companies to send them surveys. So I got out my cheque book and I signed up to ten companies in order that they could send me paid surveys to fill in.
What a farce that was, $150 lighter and I receive one survey in the first week and it is for a company I was already signed up to but for free. It wasn't much better the next week either, one survey to fill in.
Honestly the paid services were just as bad, as it was with the ones I had signed up to for free. The surveys were intermittent to say the least and half if not over half of the surveys I was sent from the paid companies were from survey companies I had signed up to for free in order to complete there surveys.
In six months I had made about $25 not a lot is it. I have continued for the last five years to monitor these survey sites more out of shear laziness really because I can't be bothered to remove myself from there lists.
In that time I have made, WAIT FOR IT, a grand total of $217. I have never turned a survey down, I have filled in every one I have ever been sent and all I get for my efforts is $217.
Believe me the only ones making money from surveys is a) those asking you to take them in the first place as they charge companies hundreds of dollars to carry out the survey for them. And b) those companies that require you to pay for them to send you paid surveys.
Please don't fall for all the hype and the lies and the deceit, yes you can make money from taking paid surveys but not as much as people say you can. You would be better off getting a job at Mc Donald's it pays better and more regularly.
