Are you aware you can make money taking online surveys? There are a number of sites out there that are paying people right now to take surveys and to fill out special offers. Some of these sites are free to sign up for and some require you to pay a one-time fee for access to their surveys. Depending on the survey site, you can get paid up to $75 dollars per survey taken. I personally haven't managed to find a survey that pays that much, but there are plenty of surveys that pay 5-10 dollars each.
You may be asking yourself why a company would be willing to pay you just to take a survey. The answer is simple...marketing. Market research is important to companies of all sizes. They need to know what their customers want and need, and they want to know the best ways to reach their customers. There are a lot of companies that base their marketing decisions on the opinions of their customer base. One of the many ways they figure out what their customers want is through surveys and opinion polls.
They are willing to pay you to take these surveys because it helps them increase their effectiveness as a company. They spend millions of dollars yearly researching the best ways to market their products and a good chunk of this money is spent analyzing the opinions of their customers. The companies that need the market research done contract with the survey companies to get help finding customers to take surveys.
This is where you come in. There are a number of ways you can get paid to help these companies out. They are paying people to take surveys, participate in focus groups and are even giving out free products for customers to try and review. Here's how it works:
1. You sign up for a free or paid survey company. I've personally found that the paid companies tend to have better surveys but there are some decent paying ones on the free sites as well. It's up to you to find the sites that are the best fit for you. I recommend signing up for as many survey sites as you can so you will be able to find the best surveys daily. All of the sites typically have different surveys so you want to be signed up to as many as you have time to check daily.
2. You typically have to take a free survey or two before you can start taking the paid surveys so that the survey company can figure out your demographic. This will help them tailor the surveys they send you to your interests and lifestyle.
3. Depending on the survey company, links to surveys are send to your e-mail or you have to log on to the survey site and check for new surveys. I like the ones that e-mail the links the best since I don't have to log on to them every day to see what surveys they have.
4. Fill out the survey and get paid.
