Can You Really Get Paid to Take Surveys Online?

I was reading the paper this morning and came across an advertisement for taking paid surveys. I thought to myself, "how many people out there wonder if taking surveys online really make them money?" So I decided to jump online and google it. Turns out there were over a million results depending on the search term, I would input. I thought I would help enlighten those who are wondering if they can make money online by taking surveys.

I am (currently) pregnant and through one of the social pregnancy sites I am part of, they send me periodic surveys and I get paid $3/survey. Time spent taking the survey averages about 10 minutes a survey. Other survey companies may pay more, but you may not get as many surveys as you would hope. If you average $3/survey - you would want to get roughly 39 surveys a day...and at about 10 minutes a survey, that puts you at a 6.5 hour work day...or 32.5 hours a week working 5 days a week. This would gross you a little over $30,000/yr. I only do a few surveys a month and to be honest, I get bored after a minute or two and wonder when the survey will end. I can't imagine doing that as a near full time job, but it beats many full time jobs out there!

So can you really make money taking surveys online? Yes, but you would need to be receiving a high volume of surveys in order to "fire" your boss. (If that is what you are after.) You are not going to get rich, by any means, taking surveys online. You can indeed make money though. The question here should be, can you really make a full time income taking surveys? At least that is what it seems like most people are really wondering when they question surveys online. Of course, if you just want some extra side income, surveys can be a great option for you. If you can get about 67 surveys a month, you can make about $200 a month which can be your "entertainment" fund! This of course assumes you make just $3 a survey. You will get the occasional survey offering $10 or even $50 a survey. There are also sites and companies promising $100/hour. Just be careful with those sites and research them thoroughly to make sure they are legitimate. About the Author
